Wheel manufacturers and materials
Nylon is used often for BBQ wheels - It has good heat resisting properties and is used for simple bearings because of its resistance to grease and heat as well as being tough and durable.  Note the specifications and the fact that the caster plates are zinc-plated (galvanised) on some of these manufacturers links.  Why would this be?
