Coursework contributes about 60% of the marks overall.  Some hardworking students do get 100% for coursework and several each year get very close to maximum marks. You have two years to develop a style and build up a good piece of coursework.  Don’t think that you have lots of time but instead use class and homework time whenever it is available.  Make your exam period less stressful by doing the work before it becomes urgent and prepare for any timed and supervised coursework sessions as fully as you can.
The end product usually carries about 50% of the available c/w marks. At the beginning of the project you should have produced a ‘time-plan’ and allowed yourself enough time to make a really good end product. This should also be market- tested’ with an evaluation of the test results.   It would be even better if changes were then seen to be made.  If time doesn’t allow for that, well at least suggest improvements that might be made.

Use the techniques you have learned and make your sheets look good with interesting or attractive lettering.  Examine fonts that you find on the computer and decide what you feel might be suitable to use in your project.  Headings to pages and the writing within the pages should all look as though thought and effort has been involved.  Do think of the overall look and don’t just stick panels of computer generated text on your pages unless there is significant additional graphic input of your own.  Remember too the basic rules of typography.
