The spinner or die that you decide to make could be produced from several different materials.  It could be an exercise in designing NETS and making the spinner from thin card.  It could be made from mild steel and last for ever !  It could be a much lighter and quicker item to make by adapting the design of the steel spinner and making it from acrylic sheet and a small piece of acrylic rod.

First of all come up with a number of different design that might be used - then carry on and check out the ones shown on the site here.  You don't have to limit yourself to a prism with 6 sides as these NETS have done.  There are a number of different solutions to any design problem.
