Buckminster Fuller designed many innovative products ranging from houses and cars to his most famous ‘association’; the ‘geodesic’ dome. The Eden-Project in Cornwall, South-West England, covers a large area of old quarries with interlocking polygonal structures – the environmental bio-dome created has become a major
tourist attraction of the area. Buckminster Fuller believed his creation to be so fundamental that when scientist discovered an isotope of carbon (Carbon 60) with a similar structure, they christened it ‘Buckminsterfullerine’.
