So… where might you get ideas ? Thinking of ideas is much easier if you don't wait until lesson-times or until a deadline is approaching. Instead try to 'immerse' yourself in what needs to be done. Think about toys whenever you see toys or children playing … if a toy is the product you are planning to make….. Think of possibilities for seats whenever you sit down or see other people using chairs and stools. It should then be easy to decide exactly what is good and what is bad and what in turn should either be included in your ideas or left out. If you need a box to contain your toy, or package it - then look around at what other designers have already done. Try to build on the success and failures of others - and don't reinvent the wheel !
